The Game Design Store

52 projects stocked in the store at any given time, with a new project rotating in each week

The Game is a great new design concept store—at two locations in Brussels and Antwerp—with products specially selected by curator Alexis Ryngaert’s keen eye. And they don’t come much keener than Ryngaert’s: he’s the founder of Victor Hunt Designart Dealer gallery, known for its remarkable emerging talent (and home to one of Cool Hunting’s favorite Stockholm design groups, Humans Since 1982).

At any given time, The Game will stock exactly 52 projects, exchanging and replacing one project each week on a continual basis. Ranging from ceramics to glass, lighting and objects of interest, The Game’s selection is an eclectic mix from big names like furniture designer Faye Toogood and Inge Sempe and up-and-comers just waiting to be snapped up before their 52 weeks is out.

One might imagine that a store of this caliber would have price points completely out of reach for the everyman, but while there are some pricey items, a vast proportion of The Game’s stock is fantastically within reach without even contemplating a remortgage. We’re drawn to the affordable Reversed Volumes (imprints of fruits, vegetables and even leaves onto existing bowls and plates) by Vienna-based Mischer’Traxler and beautiful vases by Michael Fargo and Drop by Willenz—bringing a bit of color and style to the humble household bucket.

A fantastic concept with some very exciting pieces—just don’t sleep too long before you pull the trigger as once it’s gone, it’s gone. Check out all that’s on offer at The Game online.
