Self-Cleaning and Water-Purifying LARQ Bottles

In just minutes, 99.9999% of contaminants are gone

LARQ bottles feature the same stylish design and temperature maintaining technology as other brands, but these products also purify their contents and self-clean. By now it’s common sense to utilize reusable water bottles whenever possible, but when they’re filled with tap water, they’re not necessarily free of microbes. LARQ safely enables the use of tap water, making sure we’re consuming it in a healthier way—benefitting us and the planet, too.

Simply fill the BPA-free polished stainless steel bottle, put the cap on and press the button to decimate 99.9999% of bio-contaminants. After that, the device self-cleans every two hours without being prompted. The patented UV-C technology inside of the cap uses 280 nanometer light to disinfect the water inside. From one full charge (via USB) the bottle can function for one to two months.

LARQ explains the technology as being “ideal to eradicate germs, triggering a photochemical reaction that destroys their DNA. UV-C light is widely used today in hospitals to sterilize patient room surfaces.” And this entire process only takes a couple minutes.

The LARQ bottle ($95) comes in five different colors but just one volume, 500ml.
